Drizly Begins Alcohol Delivery on Sunday For First Time in Select Chicago Neighborhoods

Now with the temperature dropping and the Bears’ season in full-swing, Drizly is trying to make Sunday Funday even more convenient.

Drizly, the alcohol delivery service that promises booze in 20 to 40 minutes after placing an order from your phone (and winner of the Chicago Inno Alcohol Delivery Challenge), will now bring you adult beverages on Sunday for the first time since the Boston-based company launched in Chicago in May. The expanded delivery is made possible after the company partnered with Chicago retailers Uncorkit and Milk & More.

Neighborhoods that can now order from Drizly on Sundays include the Loop, River North, Old Town, Gold Coast, Streeterville, Lincoln Park, Lakeview, Wrigleyville, Lincoln Square, North Center and Roscoe Village. The partnership will also offer users a wider variety of products, the company announced Thursday.

Drizly doesn’t make deliveries itself; its partnering retailers are the one’s making the actual deliveries and setting the delivery times. Residents served by Uncorkit (Loop, River North, Old Town, Gold Coast, Streeterville) can order alcohol from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday, and those in Mile & More’s coverage area (Lincoln Park, Lakeview, Wrigleyville, Lincoln Square, North Center, Roscoe Village) can place an order between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m.

“With services like Uber and Seamless growing in popularity in Chicago, we see a huge opportunity to serve the evolving tastes and demands of Chicagoans for on-demand beer, wine and liquor,” Milk & More said in the statement.

To promote the partnership, Drizly is offering customers scratch-off…
